How Laser Texturing Differs From Chemical Etching
Laser texturing removes steel material with focused pulses guided by a 3D digital model, so the same pattern file reproduces identically across multiple cavities without a physical film mask. This makes it the preferred method for spherical surfaces, tight radii, and gradient patterns that blend from coarse to fine grain — geometries where a chemical film mask would wrinkle or leave visible seams. Depth is controlled by pulse count and energy rather than immersion time, holding a repeatable tolerance of ±0.01mm across a full production run.
